Privacy Policy — Chrome Extension

Last updated: 2026

Principle

The VozPilot (Lite) extension is a browser-based teleprompter built with privacy first. We do not operate any server that processes your content.

Data we handle

  • Your scripts: stored locally using chrome.storage.local in your browser. They are never sent to any server we operate.
  • Microphone: used for voice-driven auto-scroll via the browser's Web Speech API. In Chrome, that API may transcribe audio using Google's services; that processing is governed by Google's privacy policy. VozPilot does not store or transmit your audio to its own systems.
  • No analytics or tracking: the extension contains no trackers, collects no browsing data, and does not sell information.

Permissions and why

  • activeTab / scripting: inject the teleprompter panel into the current tab when you request it.
  • storage: save your script and preferences locally.
  • Access to meet.google.com (and other pages on demand): display the overlay where you need it.

Your rights

You can delete all data by uninstalling the extension or clearing your browser storage. Questions: hola@vozpilot.com.

Known limitation

A browser extension cannot hide its overlay from an OS-level screen capture. True invisibility during video calls is only available in the native Mac app.
