Like any iPhone
The script sits just below the front camera with a small camera monitor in the corner. This is also how VozPilot works on every other iPhone.
Compatible with iPhone Duo · Coming soon to the App Store
Record with the rear camera and read your script on the outer screen, right beside the lens. VozPilot follows your voice word by word, so your eyes stay on the camera and your hands stay off the screen.
Hi, I'm Laura. Today I'll show you
how our new product saves
you three hours a week, without
changing the way you work.
On a normal phone, a teleprompter forces a trade-off: the script is on the screen, so you record with the front camera and read text that sits below the lens. On iPhone Duo, the outer screen sits on the back of the open phone, next to the rear camera. That is exactly where a teleprompter belongs: you read beside the lens, so your eyes stay on the camera, and you record with the main camera instead of the selfie one.
VozPilot turns that into a workflow. The inner screen is your control room, with the camera monitor on one half and the script on the other. The outer screen is the prompter for whoever is speaking.
The script sits just below the front camera with a small camera monitor in the corner. This is also how VozPilot works on every other iPhone.
The layout follows the fold: the camera fills one half and everything about the script fills the other, so nothing sits across the crease.
Whoever is in front of the lens sees a mirrored view of themselves with the script on top, right beside the camera they are talking to.
The same voice engine as VozPilot for Mac, rebuilt for iPhone.
No scroll speed to set. Pause and it waits; speed up and it keeps up.
Skip a sentence or ad-lib, and the script catches up the moment you are back on it.
Your voice and your script stay on your iPhone. No account, no server of ours.
One microphone for both: the video gets your audio and the prompter follows the same sound.
Stop recording and the clip is in your library, ready to edit or share.
Bring your own text, see its word count and how long it takes to say.
Most teleprompter apps were designed for a single screen. On iPhone Duo, these are the questions that decide whether an app is actually built for the device:
The point of a teleprompter on iPhone Duo is reading next to the rear camera. If the script only lives on the inner screen, you are back to reading away from the lens.
Fixed-speed scrolling forces you to match the machine. A voice-following prompter matches you, and the good ones recover when you go off script.
On the open phone, text should never run across the crease. Look for a layout that puts the camera and the script on either side of it.
Scripts are often confidential: pitches, launches, internal announcements. On-device recognition keeps them on your phone.
You will not always unfold it. The app should work as a normal teleprompter on the outer screen too, and on any other iPhone you own.
VozPilot was designed around these five points. It is being tested on real iPhones now and is coming soon to the App Store.
Look for three things: it should put your script on the outer screen while you record with the rear camera, follow your voice instead of scrolling at a fixed speed, and run speech recognition on the device. VozPilot was designed around those three points. It is in beta testing and coming soon to the App Store.
Yes. While an app is full screen on the inner display and recording with the rear camera, iOS lets it show content on the outer screen. VozPilot uses that space for your script and a mirrored view of yourself, right beside the lens.
Yes. On any iPhone with iOS 17 or later it works as a classic teleprompter: the script sits just below the front camera and follows your voice. The outer-screen features turn on by themselves on iPhone Duo.
No account and no server of ours. Speech recognition runs on your iPhone, so your voice and your script stay on the device.
It is being tested on real iPhones right now and will be on the App Store soon. Meanwhile, VozPilot for Mac is available today.
